Ndiop Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy vegetable, palm and groundnut oil.

Ndiop Group's story

This group belongs to the Banc Villageois which was set up in April 2010 and comprises very united women who are mainly active in buying and selling goods and raising animals. Ndiougue, who is standing on the right of the photo, with her hand raised, is the star borrower of the group. She is 57 years old and married, with no children. She has been an active trader for years and has significant experience in her field.

She is planning to buy vegetable, palm and groundnut oil wholesale, and will then resell this on a retail basis at a reasonable price. With the profits she makes, she is planning to boost her savings with the Banc Villageois, to participate in "tontines" (a revolving finance system whereby each member contribues periodically an agreed amount and this is passed on in rotation to different members of the group), and to buy clothes.
