Mame Rokhaya Djeule's Group's story

This group is from a Banc Villageois and is composed of 22 woman living in the same neighbourhood. Their good social cohesion led to their banding together in 2016. Their principal activity is business and they are on their 4th cycle of credit.

Madame Mame Rokhara is standing at the extreme right of the photo and is the representative of the group. She is 45 years old and married. She has 6 children of whom 4 are girls. Her principal activity is poultry farming and with her loan she will buy 100 chicks and their food - 2 bags of starter, 4 bags of grower and 5 bags of finisher, along with medicaments. She will sell her products at the end of 45 days.

She will pay for the schooling of her children and the needs of her family with the profits generated by her small business. A portion of the profits will be put back into the business to expand it.
