Grace's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farming inputs such as fertilizers and seeds, to help a widowed mom improve her output and increase her sales revenue and thus have enough funds.

Grace's story

The poor condition of the Kenyan economy has forced residents to work harder to meet their basic needs.

Small-holder farmers like Grace (widowed) wake up very early in the morning to attend farming activities. As the key breadwinner of her family, she farms a small plot of land in the green, lush hills of Bungoma, in the Rift Valley region of Kenya. Grace decided to start mixed farming with the hope of giving her family a better quality of life.

Access to modern-quality farm inputs is the pillar of agricultural revolution. However, in Kenya, a developing country, fertilizers and seeds allocation by the government is way below the needs of the farmers. Since Juhudi Kilimo which is in partnership with Kiva, ventured in the affairs of small-holder farmers in Kenya, farmers can attest that there has been a significant improvement on inputs availability than earlier before.

Grace is humbly on her knees seeking a loan of 20,000 KES to buy farming inputs such as fertilizers and seeds, improve her output and increase her sales revenue. Thus have enough funds to support her dependent children. She wants to reap more profits by taking advantage of her area's favorable weather patterns, the good road network in her village, good soil, and a ready market for horticulture products.

Please help this woman to achieve her dreams and goals.

Come on, lend money and turn her life around.
