A loan helped to buy chicks, feed and antibiotics.

Muchero Group's story

Precious is a 25-year-old lady who resides in Marondera. She is coming to Thrive microfinance for the first time to take a business loan. She has run a good poultry business for the past year and her business is growing stronger. The business value is estimated at $250. Precious restocks once per month using $300. She has managed to attract more customers than other competitors in her area. She achieved this through good customer care and by producing good quality broilers.

Precious joined with three friends and named their group Muchero. They have known each other for the past 2 years and they have been doing well in their businesses. They all promised to invest their loan into their businesses and also to improve the ways of running their businesses as they have received more ideas from business training they attended at Thrive.

Precious used her loan to buy chicks, feed and antibiotics. Precious is a mother of one and married to a cook at the local technical college.
