Tapham Group's story

Amongst the group members of Tapham is a 36-year-old woman named Memory who is very hardworking. She is mother of three and her husband works locally. She resides in Rujeko Marondera.

Memory is well-known in her area as a good hair dresser. She has been in business of hair dressing for the past 15 years and is coming to Thrive Microfinance for the first time. She usually restocks her weaves and braids in Marondera and sometimes in Harare. She does her saloon business at home and operates seven days a week.

Tapham is a group of four business ladies joined with the common goal of expanding their businesses so that they can maximise their sales and profits. The group members have known each other for more than five years and they all reside in Marondera. They attended business training session and they are all happy because they now know how to keep simple business records for better management of their businesses. Memory used her loan to purchase weaves and hair dyes for her business.
