A loan helped to buy construction materials to complete the construction of her house.

Mariyakan's story

The 52-year-old Mariyakan is a widow with three adult children. She has a secondary education. She is well versed in agricultural technology and knows how to use resources to their best effect. She has been raising livestock since 2000, and this is her family's main source of income. Mariyakan's hard work and her responsible approach to what she does have allowed her to expand her farm, which now has 28 sheep. She does her best to put what she saves toward developing her agricultural business and making better living conditions.

Mariyakan has begun to build a home, but she needs funds to finish it. For this reason, she has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS), with which she will buy construction materials to complete her new home. She plans to invest her income from livestock rearing in the ongoing development of her business, while using part of it to buy a new television.
