Salina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some materials for renovating her house which was damaged by Cyclone Gita.

Salina's story

Salina is 22 years old, married and they are living together with some 14 other people in their home. This young couple, they are working together and tried to collect money for their future kids.

Salina is running her business of making tapa and she is doing it together with some other women in their village. They make only the largest tapa and sell it out to earn money. Last February, Tonga was struck by a very strong cyclone named Gita which affected most of the Tongan people's lives. Salina's home was totally collapsed. She applied for a rehabilitation loan and used it to buy some materials to renovate their house and also to recover from the cyclone damages.

In the future her vision is to continue on running her tapa-making business and save money for when she has kids. There's already some money in the bank for them to provide for their needs.
