Noeleen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some new iron and new timber for their house that was collapsed by the cyclone.

Noeleen's story

Noeleen, she's 35 years old, married and has two children both currently attending school.

She's running her business of weaving and she's running it together with some other women in their neighborhood. They weave ta'ovala of different kinds and also mats of different kinds.

Noeleen sells out her weaving to earn money for her help her husband's by getting income to run their family and also to pay back her loan.

Last February Tonga was struck by a very strong cyclone named Gita and affected most of Tongan people's lives. The cyclone damaged Noeleen's house and the whole house was totally collapsed.

She applied to the SPBD a rehabilitation loan and used it to buy her a new iron roof and new timber for their house to rebuild it from the destruction.

She has a vision for her business if she can be able to build a better house for her family.
