Port-6 De Enero Group's story

Juleydy is a single, 19-year-old woman who is studying Systems Engineering at a university in Manta. She lives with her parents in Cantón Montecristi, a place famous for its Panama hats. She belongs to this group which is made up of 8 women and 2 men who joined forces a while ago and who are improving their businesses and lives with the loans they have received.
She is a hard-working young woman who, to make money that will allow her to get ahead in her studies, works making and selling items made of vegetable ivory. She has a workshop at her parents' house. She works there in her free time making necklaces, bracelets, charms, and other items that, when they are completed and given a luxury finish, she sells to merchants that come to her workshop or to the public at a place often visited by tourists who come to the city and who generally like to take home traditional souvenirs.
This loan is to buy vegetable ivory, paint, and other materials. Her dream is to finish her studies and practice her profession.
