Falekofe's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to help her buy things for her business and recover from cyclone damage.

Falekofe's story

Falekofe is 23 years old. She's a single mother to one child. She' s running a retail store in front of her house to earn income for herself and her child to survive. She's self employed in running her business, and she normally earns a weekly profit, which helps to pay back her loan.

Last February, Tonga was struck by a very strong cyclone named Gita, and this affected most Tongan people's lives. Falekofe's retail store's roof was completely blown off, causing most of the stock inside to become soaking wet and destroyed.

She applied for a rehabilitation loan and used it to repair her business to continue running the business for the sake of her family. She has a vision of continuing on running her retail store so that one day, it will expand into the wholesale business.
