A loan helped a Queens native to purchase and install a dance floor, mirrors, ballet barres and inventory to provide more affordable dance services.

Tina's story

I grew up in Long Island City, Queens with a single mom who worked so hard to provide for me. She sacrificed so I could continue dancing even though it was extremely hard financially. This had a big impact on how I run my business. I strive to make the arts accessible to all, not just the privileged. Today, I teach Special Education to 7th and 8th graders in addition to running Precise Dance Studio. One of my dreams for the future is to begin a program that bridges dance with public school education at the primary and secondary levels so young dancers can have access to the arts for free.
