Al Mahaba Group's story

Zeinab is the featured borrower of Al Mahaba Group, which consists of three hardworking Lebanese women.

Zeinab is a 61-year-old widowed mother of one child. She didn’t have the opportunity to go to school, and for an illiterate woman, working in agriculture was her best path to take, especially after her husband passed away.
Zeinab decided to rely on herself to cover her family’s necessities. She resorted to working in agriculture and selling vegetables, fruits, and Mouneh in 2007.

She joined with the other group members to obtain a loan from Kiva’s field partner Al Majmoua. The group members are working hard in order to improve their families’ lifestyles and their businesses. Her loan share will be used to buy agricultural seeds to increase her production.

Zeinab is the woman standing at the far left side of the picture, Fahda is the woman standing in the middle, and Amani is the woman at the right.
