Sushama's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to expand her family's electric items business.

Sushama's story

Sushama is a 32-year-old woman living in the Nadia district of West Bengal. She has a household size of three members and a monthly income of INR 7,000.

Her husband runs an electric items business for a living. He purchases cables, wires, bulbs, switches, and more from the wholesale market to sell in the local market and their neighborhood. However, his income is barely enough to cover their household expenses. At the end of each month, her family is left with just INR 3,000 in savings. Hence, she wants to expand their business to make a better living.

She has therefore applied for a loan of INR 25,000 from Gram Bikash Kendra, one of Milaap's field partners, to purchase a bigger and more varied stock of electric items to attract more customers.

Your loan will help her family to become financially secure. She will be thankful to her lenders.
