but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pandanus for her business and also to buy some materials to fix her house damaged in the cyclone.

'alilia's story

'Alilia is a 45-year-old married woman with two children, both still attending school. She's currently running her weaving business, where she can weave mats and sell them out in the local market. Her business was running smoothly and she used to earn weekly from her business and sometimes monthly.

Last February Tonga was struck by a very strong cyclone named Gita, which destroyed 'Alilia's pandanus plantation, where she used to get her raw material supply from. This is a big loss to 'Alilia's business because it has caused her to have a lack of raw materials. She says that she faces challenges of not having enough money to get some raw materials for her business.

She applied for a rehabilitation loan from SPBD again to help recover her business and also her house damaged in the cyclone. She has a vision if she is able to generate some more income from her business to build them a new house and also to fix her pandanus plantation in order for less expenses for her business but the most important thing for her is to achieve her vision.
