Priscilah's story

Meet this nice woman, Priscilah (pictured alongside her hubby). She is polite, devoted, responsible, and hardworking. She is 56 years old and works entirely on her farm. Priscilah not only enjoys the increased profits but also the independence that comes along with farming. For the twenty years that she has been practicing farming, she has never thought of doing another job. Farming is all that she thinks about.

In Kenya agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially due to the high costs of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and inputs which have always skyrocketed. To meet the high costs of inputs, farmers have been forced to borrow from financial institutions which sometimes impose very complicated procedures in loan distribution. Some farmers and especially women end up in hopelessness and despondency, and have a lack of morale to invest in agriculture.

Priscilah is seeking to purchase farming inputs such as high-nutrient fertilizers and certified seeds to improve her farm yield and make more profit to support her family. Her major dream is to buy a house for her family. Your loan will surely go a long way in changing her living conditions and making her more prepared for the future.
