A loan helped to buy more frozen foods to sell.

Dormowah's story

Dormowah is a 43-year-old single mother with five children. They live at home while attending school. Dormowah attended school until the fourth grade. She sells frozen foods such as chicken, chicken feet, pig feet, and spare ribs at a busy marketplace. Through this business, she is able to generate the income she needs to support her children. She uses a car to transport supplies to her place of business. Dormowah has been working hard at this business for 11 years. She likes her business because sales are profitable and is proud of the fact that it has helped to support her family.

Dormowah has requested a loan from BRAC Liberia, Kiva’s field partner. The loan will be used to buy more frozen foods to sell. In the future, she wants to own a store and provide a good education for her children. She expresses her thanks.
