This group of 25 members is part of a "banc villageois" which was established in June 2015 and groups together these 25 members who live in the same village and have the activity of small business in common. Oumou, to the right of the photo with her arm raised, is the representative of the group. She is a widow, aged 48 years and mother of eight children. She sells onions and other vegetables. She stocks up at the weekly market to resell in her village. With the loan, she plans to buy 15kg of onions, 5kg of cabbages, 10kg of carrots and 5kg of potatoes. The profits of this business go towards increasing her savings and reinforcing the expenses related to food and health costs for her children.
