Maria Liduvina's story

María lives alone since her husband died 10 years ago. Her children are adults and completely independent. They live in the same area. She learned by her own initiative to make pupusas to sell, since in this way she was able to deal with the necessities that they had in her home. Currently, her business is well-established and she employs two young people who help her to do the work. The business is located on one of the main entrances to the municipal market and the days she works, she does it in to shifts, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

The loan will serve her to purchase supplies to prepare and sell pupusas, such as quesillo, corn, flour, oil, corn, firewood, and more. The investment will help her to have sufficient inventory, primarily firewood and corn, for the winter season. Her primary risk is that her business is located in a sales point assigned by the municipal government of her community, which means it can be reassigned whenever the municipality decides.

Her dream is to keep her business stable to generate the income which will allow her to have a better life style and she also wants to provide more jobs.
