Mowafak's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to send the money to pay the amount left from the price of a house he bought in his beloved hometown Syria.

Mowafak's story

Mowafak is a Syrian refugee who fled to Lebanon with his family members seeking a good income to support them, and providing them with a peaceful living.

Mowafak is 58 years old, and a married father of four. He has 15 years of experience in the construction business, and in 2016 he started working as a builder, specialized in fitting external stonework. He gets a limited monthly salary to cover the necessary daily living needs.

Mowafak is longing to go back home. That's why he decided to acquire a special Syrian Refugee loan product from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua. He will send the money to pay the outstanding amount on the price of a house he bought in his beloved hometown in Syria. This way, when it is time to go back home, he won't hesitate to be the first there with his family members.

He hopes to stay in good health to maintain financial sustainability, and to see again his beloved country.
