Sharlene's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some materials to use in her handicrafts business in order to get more income to help educate her children.

Sharlene's story

Sharlene is 26 years old. She's a mother of three children, two of whom are already in school and only the youngest has still not yet entered school.

She's running her business of handicrafts and makes use of her talents to bring her family some income to survive. She made her handicrafts and used to sell them and earn monthly from it.

In February a strong cyclone named Gita hit Tonga and affected most of Tongan people's lives. Sharlene's house was half destroyed and caused her a challenge since she needed to fix her house and also she lacked materials to use for her handicrafts.

She applied for a rehabilitation loan and used it to recover her business to continue providing some more income for her to reach her visions for the future: to make sure all her children finish their studies for a better future.
