A loan helped to buy a biodigester to transform his farm into a sustainable company.

Jaime's story

Jaime is an ambitious and enterprising farmer. He lives in Emiliano Zapata, Mexico. He wants to buy a Sistema Biobolsa biodigester in order to save time and money, but above all, he wants to stop polluting the environment. The main source of income for Jaime is the sale of meat. In his slaughterhouse, he slaughters around two thousand pigs per month. With the Sistema Biobolsa biodigester, he will transform his pigs' manure into renewable energy, biogas, and natural fertilizer. Jaime will give his workers the benefit of cooking their breakfast and lunch on a biogas stove every day. He can also use the biogas in his business at a productive level to reduce his farm costs. As he starts placing the animal waste in the biodigester, where the bacteria will convert it into biogas for cooking and into nutrient-rich fertilizer that Jaime will apply to his crop fields. All this will allow him to increase his farm performance and improve his life. This loan represents 54% of the total price of the Biodigestor; the remaining part is paid directly by Jaime.
