This is Rosalinda M. (the woman in the black shirt), a single parent entrepreneur from Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. Her two children are both married already and have families of their own. Rosalinda is among the government-accredited retailers of rice in Caloocan City. She always gets tired from attending to her business but finds consolation in helping her neighbors. She earns more than P 10,000.00 a month. Rosalinda is among the pioneer members of the Center for Community Transformation (CCT) Credit Cooperative in Caloocan City. She has been enjoying its many social benefits for community members. She is now her group’s community coordinator. The loans from the cooperative provide stability to her business. She can now purchase rice stocks in advance from a government-operated warehouse at a lower cost. She is currently in need of additional capital in the amount of P 29,000.00 to purchase more rice stocks.
