but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy additional washing machine of washing clothes to her community for her washer women services and to earn more income.

Shehnaz's story

Shehnaz is a 53-year-old widow woman. She has two children living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Pictured with her son. Her son has been running rickshaw and her younger son works in a tile factory. She is striving hard to support them, which includes providing food and healthcare. Her son is a rickshaw driver and as well his earning is very low and his earning is not sufficient to meet the daily expenditures of the family.

She started her washing clothes business and to contribute in the family's income. She has much experience of washing clothes to the nearby community including men and women. Now she wants to buy additional washing machine of washing clothes to her community. Therefore, she has requested a loan to buy additional washing machine to wash clothes of men and women in her community, so she would be able to meet the demands of her customers without failure.

She is very thankful to the Kiva, Kiva's lenders and field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
