A loan helped to expand her vegetable sales business by purchasing tomatoes, potatoes, etc.

Nirmalaben's story

Nirmalaben is a 32-year-old married woman living in the Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh. She runs a vegetable business for a living. She sells bottle gourds, potatoes, tomatoes, etc., in the local market. She has a household of three members and a monthly income of 11,000 Indian rupees (INR). However, it is barely enough to cover her family's household expenses. At the end of each month, they are left with just 1,000 INR in savings.

Hence, Nirmalaben wants to expand her business to make a better living. She wants to purchase a bigger and more varied stock of vegetables, including turnips and lady's finger, to attract more customers. She has applied for a loan of 25,000 INR from Prayas, one of Milaap's field partners.

Your support will help Nirmalaben's family become financially secure. She will be thankful to her lenders.
