A loan helped to expand her dairy business by purchasing a buffalo.

Shayama's story

Shayama is a 49-year-old married woman living in the Jhabua District of Madhya Pradesh. She runs a dairy business for a living. She sells the milk from her buffalo along with other dairy products such as ghee, curd, and cheese to the local dairy. She has a household of three members and a monthly income of INR 21,000. However, it is barely enough to cover her family's household expenses. At the end of each month, they are left with a negligible amount of savings. Hence, she wants to expand her business to make a better living. She wants to purchase another buffalo to increase her dairy production.

Hence, she has applied for a loan of INR 20,000 from Prayas, one of Milaap's field partners. Your support will help her family become financially secure. She will be thankful to her lenders.
