A loan helped to buy more stock of thread, silk, fancy, sequins, and pearls of various colors for her embroidery business.

Naseem's story

Naseem is a 40-year-old married woman. She is living with her husband in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is doing embroidery work by her hands at home and financially supporting her family.

Her husband has been working in a steel mill. His salary has become less and she belongs to a poor family; her husband’s income is not sufficient to meet the family expenses.

Naseem has been doing embroidery work at home to support her husband. Due to regular use and the customers' demand, her embroidery material has been diminished and now she wants to buy more embroidery material to fulfill the customers' demand, and she wants to establish her business.

Therefore, she requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan, to buy more stock of thread, silk, fancy, sequins, and pearls of various colors for her embroidery business.

She wants to support her family members and earn greater income. She hopes that this loan will prove beneficial for her and for her family.

Naseem is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan.
