Malia's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy some more pandanus for her weaving, and also pay the overseas freight for her product.

Malia's story

Malia is 31 years old; she's married, and a mother of 3 children. Her highest level of education is only at the high school level, but that doesn't mean that she can't operate a business by herself.

Malia took a loan and financed her little business of weaving. She used her loan to buy some more pandanus for her weaving, and also to pay the overseas freight of her products.

Her business is located at her home, and her oldest daughter helps with weaving after school in order for her to meet the demands of her customers.

Last February, Tonga was hit by a Gita, a strong cyclone, and it effected most people's lives. The cyclone damaged her house's roof top, and caused the rain to get in to her house and damage most of her products, and the finished products that were ready to send overseas.

The only challenge that she faces is when customers failed to pay for her products.

Her vision is to always to provide for her kids, and to be able to fully educate them.
