Pisila's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some pandanus for her weaving business, coloured wool for the decoration of her mats, and some other requirements needed for her business.

Pisila's story

Pisila is 48 years old. She's a mother of six children, and they are living together with her husband in their own home.

She's currently running a weaving business financed from a loan that she took to help her buy some raw materials for her business. She used it to buy some pandanus (leaves from the pandanus tree), coloured wool to decorate her mats with, and also to pay for hiring a vehicle to take her business to the market. She weaves mats and ta'ovala (a traditional article of clothing) and sells them to earn weekly and also monthly, if her weaving is slow.

Pisila can't afford to hire some to help her, so she works by herself. Sometimes she faces a challenge of not enough money to buy her materials, but she can manage to overcome those problems in order for her to bring more income to her family and to help in paying back her loan.

She has a vision to run her business very well so that she can upgrade her family to a better future.
