Florence's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizer to improve her production and help a mother with a strong sense of humour to improve her housing condition.

Florence's story

Juhudi is celebrating Florence today, a mother. Florence is endowed with a strong sense of humour, love for work, and a strong desire to achieve. The striking evidence of her hard work can be seen while looking at the flowering crops in her garden. Her determination to aspire to better her life as well as educate her children is what surprises her neighbours. Her family's main income source is milk from their dairy farm. However, they are involved in other agricultural activities such as growing maize, vegetables, fruits and grains.

In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially due to the high costs of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and inputs which have always skyrocketed. To meet the high costs of inputs, farmers have been forced to borrow from financial institutions that sometimes impose very complicated procedures in loan distribution. Some farmers, especially women, end up in hopelessness, despondency and a lack of morale to invest in agriculture.

Florence is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizers. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. She will fill the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve the quality of life for her family. Florence hopes to transform her life this International Mother’s day.
