Betty's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase farm inputs such as high-quality seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers to boost her yields and eventually, through increased profits, improve her standard of living.

Betty's story

Betty (pictured in her simple house) has been involved in farming for more than nine years, and she has learned a range of new farming practices that improve sustainability, enhance resilience, and are likely to be helpful in adapting to climate change. She is a remote farmer who lives in Chuka with her family (husband and children).

Betty’s main sources of income include milk and vegetables. However, she engages in some personal businesses to enable her to supplement her limited income. In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, therefore upgrading the kind of inputs that are being used in the sector today. On this note there is a need to use improved farming inputs for effective production. These include high-quality seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers.

Betty has learned that Juhudi Kilimo has intervened in the activities of rural, smallholder farmers and is giving them financial support in the form of loans to enable them to access income-generating assets as well as farming inputs. Betty has used this loan to purchase farm inputs such as high-quality seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers, which she will use on her farm to boost her yields.

Please lend to this industrious woman so that she can save for her children's education.
