Heifalelilo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy chemicals and fertilizer, pay for the ploughing of her plantation, and also fix their sliding door that was broken by the cyclone.

Heifalelilo's story

Heifalelilo is 41 years old and married with two children. She's currently running her business of growing crops which includes yams, taro, sweet potatoes and tapioca. She and her husband have their plantation at their own village. They used to hire some people to help with the peeling and packing of their crops for export.

Last February, Tonga was struck by the most intense cyclone on record and sadly this affected Heifalelilo's plantation, which was all damaged. Right now, she's still recovering her business. She just recently took the rehabilitation loan, to continue earning some more income, pay back her loan, and also achieve her visions for her business.

Her vision for the future is to continue with their crops, and save more money from her business earnings for her two children when they grow. They already provide savings for them to survive in the future.
