Kandy's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy two 25kg sacks of cabbage, two sacks of onions, four 50kg sacks of carrots, some condiments and spices.
Kandy's Group's story
The "banc villageois", whic his made up of 16 members, was established in November 2011. It is composed of women who have experience in the programme. They all come from the same village and share strong links of solidarity and helping one another. They are all involved in the activity of small business. Kandy (standing on the far right with a hand raised) is the representative of the group. She is married and mother of four children. She is involved in the sale of vegetables which she buys at the weekly market so she can resell them in her neighbourhood. With her new loan, she plans to buy two 25kg sacks of cabbages, two sacks of onions, four 50kg sacks of carrots, some condiments and spices which she resells individually. The profits will go towards boosting her savings.
