Christopher's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a smalltown restaurant expand back of house capabilities including cold storage & preparation areas so they can purchase more fresh products.

Christopher's story

Growing up in Washington, PA and graduating from Trinity High School, Washington has been a part of my life since third grade, when we moved to Washington from Hickory PA. My grandfather owned a business and several properties around Washington, so this town and always been my hometown. Although I moved back to Hickory PA, it's just a quick trip down the road. My grandfather is the reason I'm in business today, seeing all that he accomplished, and all the knowledge he passed on to me, made me want to attempt it on my own. Dealing with a lot of the local vendors he used to, continuing the relationship. Several of the vendors remember me and a young child, shopping along side my grandfather. Giving back to the community that has so much to offer is a great feeling. Seeing the main business district of Washington flourish is a great feeling. I remember riding the school bus every day down Main St, and saying how awesome it would be to have all these storefronts open again. Now I own one of those store fronts. We're working on bringing the building back to life, renovations are in the planning stages. It's great to see town filling up again.
