Muong Phang 113 Group's story

Tan, 27, is a minority ethnic woman. She is the mother of a little son. She lives with her husband and son in a Thai traditional stilt house in a poor and remote area. After finishing high school, she got married, started working as a farmer.

In the picture, she stands first on the right and holds a yellow bag.

Every day, Tan and her husband work laboriously on her farm at various jobs such as growing rice, canna, and raising fish, cows, pigs, and chickens. But, the production depends on weather, so sometimes their income is not favorable because of bad weather and disease.

This is the second time she has taken out a loan from Anh Chi Em program to buy fingerlings. Raising fish brings a good profit and they are easy to breed.

She hopes they will grow up quickly and healthily to bring her family great profit, which she will save to invest in raising fish next season. She dreams her son will have a good education to reach a better future.
