Roxana Carolina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cattle for her cattle sales business.

Roxana Carolina's story

Roxana finished high school and wanted to go on to college but couldn't because her mother lost her sight around then and couldn't afford the tuition. Roxana went to work, farming, when she was 17 years old and makes a living growing grain crops and raising cattle. She is married now and has 2 children, pictured in the photo, and tells us that the oldest of the two is now in school.

Roxana's fields are 4 kilometers from her house and she goes to and from her farm by wagon. She gets up at 5:00 a.m every day to fix breakfast for her children and then starts the rest of her day. She is applying for a loan that she will use to buy cattle that she will ultimately sell. She also invested a previous loan in her cattle business and has now repaid that older loan.

When we asked Roxana about her hopes for the future, she told us that she wants her children to go to college.
