A loan helped to move her tailoring business to a small shop within the commercial markets.

Rola's story

Rola is 37 years old, a Syrian widowed woman, and lives with her son who attends school in an owned apartment located in Chouf. She decided to rely on herself and work after her husband's death, in order to take care of her son. She established her business more than 10 years ago at home and started working on tailoring. Rola says it's hard for people to feel comfortable after losing their life partner, but her son's presence encouraged her to continue, develop and overcome difficulties. So her son is the secret of her strength.

For the first time, Rola is asking for a loan from IBDAA, a Kiva partner. She requested this loan to move her tailoring business to a small shop within the commercial markets, in order to become more visible. Rola plans to expand her productivity and customer base in order to increase the level of her profits.

Rola believes that women are like tea bags: no one knows how strong they are until they are in hot water. This woman has an amazing reputation in the area. She thanks you for your support!
