Reba's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase cooking gas, oil, spices, eggs, chicken, etc. to expand her food stall business.

Reba's story

Reba is a 34-year-old woman. Her family consists of her husband and three daughters. All her daughters are studying in school. They live in a village in the Alipurduar district of West Bengal.

She runs a small fast-food business in their locality on a mobile stall (pictured here). Sometimes her husband also helps her in preparing delicious fast food. Dishes like chowmein, egg rolls, chicken balls, egg omelet, fish fry, etc. are available at her stall. The local people like their food very much and there is a high demand of their dishes!

In present market conditions, the costs of all raw materials such as cooking gas, oil, spices, salt, sugar, flour, egg, chicken, fish, etc. have increased. She is facing difficulties in continuing the existing business and satisfying the demands of their customers.

So, she has applied for a loan of INR 30,000 from BJS, Milaap's field partner, to purchase different ingredients and cooking gas so she can expand her business. She hopes to earn a lot of profit from this business and satisfy the demands of their customers.

As for her long term aspirations, she hopes that one day, she will be able to set up a permanent shop with her profits! She expresses her heartiest thanks to all the lenders.
