Salma's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to start her own buying and selling business of snacks and groceries.

Salma's story

Salma is an 18-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Gokwe North district in Zimbabwe. She is requesting a Kiva loan in order to start her own buying and selling business of snacks and groceries.

Salma plans to use her profits to improve her living standards. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a Camfed Transition Guide. She will be facilitating lessons at her local secondary school through Camfed’s “My Better World” program where she will help students build their self-esteem and motivate them to stay in school.
