Rebecca's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cereals, such as maize, and beans and help a single mom meet the increased demand this season and eventually uplift the livelihood of her family.

Rebecca's story

Rebecca’s story involves struggles and success. She is blessed with cute and well-disciplined children. Rebecca is a single mom and has been farming for the past nine years. Over this time, she has gathered knowledge, skills, and experience, and she is now considered among the best farmers in her village.

Rebecca practices mixed farming. The income she makes from selling milk and eggs is used to provide for the basic needs of her family. Though she has gathered much experience in this business, she is not comfortable with how little she earns after investing so much of her time and effort.

Rebecca's clients enjoy the quality of the milk and crops she sells to them. Rebecca has decided to borrow a loan to buy cereals from local farmers, which she will sell to her customers and at the local market. Through this engagement, she will earn a commission that she intends to use to repay the loan and elevate her standard of living.

Thanks to Juhudi Kilimo and this Kiva loan, the lives of Rebecca, her aging parents, and her children will be changed.
