Albertina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy organic fertilizer to improve production and sales, in order to generate better income for her family.

Albertina's story

Albertina lives and works in Colomi. Economically, she is independent, hardworking, responsible, and enterprising, to keep her economic activity stable. She is married. She works to provide for herself and her family.

She has worked in agriculture since she was very young. She has much experience in this area. She grows potato and "locoto" peppers as her primary products, with greatest demand in the market. She cultivates on her own land, with an area of approximately five hectares. She is in the agricultural co-op Pico Central.

The little income that she made in previous years was reinvested in her work, and in the family's expenses. Previously her products were sold at very low prices. Climate factors affected her crop and she did not have funds to be able to survive. Also she had to pay for school for her children, living in extreme poverty. She only covered the needs of the family, without any profit.

Sra. Albertina needs a loan because she does not have funds for working capital and needs to be able to take advantage of low prices. She needs to buy two truckloads of organic fertilizer (chicken manure) and agro-chemicals. For this reason, she comes to request a loan that will cover her needs and requirements, and will be of much help to her.
