Carmen Maria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy supplies like rice in bulk, cooking oil, bananas, cassava, chicken, and meat in order to make the deli items and lunches that she sells.

Carmen Maria's story

Carmen is a hard-working and tenacious housewife. She comes to the Kiva community requesting financial support that will allow her to energize the business, which is selling food, that she has set up at her house.

The money from the loan will be used to buy supplies like rice in bulk, cooking oil, bananas, cassava, chicken, and meat. This way she will have more solvency in order to make the deli items and lunches that she sells.

Carmen lives in a post conflict area in which there is a lack of safety, few work opportunities, and problems of armed conflict. Therefore, the loan presents a greater risk.
