Indira's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy two dairy cows in order to increase her cattle headcount and her sales of organic milk.

Indira's story

Indira is 36 years old, married, and the mother of two girls and one boy. She has a secondary education and, since 2003, she has been involved in animal husbandry and crop farming, two activities which constitute her family's main source of income. Thanks to her very hard work, and to the support of her husband, she currently has one cow, 20 sheep, and three horses on her farm. She also grows beans on 1.92 hectares of land.

Indira has a contract to supply organic milk to a local factory which produces dairy products. This allows her to continually invest in her agricultural business. Having learned that Bai Tushum Bank offers a "Value Added Chain" product, which allows her to take out a loan secured against the future deliveries stipulated in her contract, she decided to take out a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy a couple of dairy cows. This loan will help her to increase her cattle headcount and her sales of milk. The milk payments from the factory will go directly into her bank account, and the loan repayments will be deducted automatically. The earnings from her loan will allow Indira to buy more land to cultivate and to finish building her house.
