A loan helped To use as additional capital for her dry goods business.
“Poverty is not a hindrance to success!” is an inspiring quotation from Mrs. Erlinda P. the responsible housewife of Mauro P.. They happily live in the village located at Barangay Paniki, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, with their five children. Despite the economic crisis, they aim to support the schooling of their children so that they will find a stable job someday. As a fruit of their patience and sacrifices, two of their children graduated from college while the others are still studying. For the sake of their future, Erlinda and her husband till their land twice a year and plant palay (rice) and some vegetables. To earn additional income Erlinda ventured in the buying and selling of dry goods like blankets, towels and floor mats. She sells them in their village through retailing. Recognizing that the dry-goods business is really profitable, she now wants to acquire more dry goods but she has only a little capital. Thus, she wants to borrow additional capital of Php 10,000 from Kiva lenders to be used in acquiring the said products. She believes that the lenders will grant her requested loan.
