Ruvarashe's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to start her own grocery business selling items like food products and soaps.

Ruvarashe's story

Ruvarashe is a 33-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her father, her husband, and her child in the Chikomba West district in Zimbabwe. She is requesting a Kiva loan in order to start her own grocery business selling items like food products and soaps.

Ruvarashe plans to use her profits to support her family and invest in her business. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a Camfed Transition Guide. She will be facilitating classes at her local secondary school through Camfed’s ‘My Better World’ program where she will help students build their self-esteem and motivate them to stay in school.
