Mardy Luz's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy beer, chairs, and new tables so that she can improve service at her business.

Mardy Luz's story

Mardy is a single woman who is 31 years old. She is the head of her family and the pillar of her household. Mardy manages a bar, a business that she started out of financial necessity. Her business allows her to generate the needed income to put food on the table each day.

Mardy resides in the town of Lorica, a post-conflict area that has been impacted by violence, forced displacement, and high poverty rates. As a result, this loan comes with a higher level of risk.

Sra. Mardy is determined to press forward and change her situation. She has approached the Kiva community in order to request a loan for buying an inventory of beer, as well as chairs and new tables so that she can provide better service at her business.
