Theresa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more stock of used clothes and lappa to sell.

Theresa's story

Theresa is 43 years old. She is a married mother of 4 children who are still in school. She is a seller; she sells used clothes and lappa (traditional cloth) in the market. She has been in this business for 20 years. She has had no problems with her business. Her mother taught her the trade.

She normally opens her business at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 7:30 p.m. daily. She likes her business because it earns a good profit that is used to pay market tax, school fees, household expenses, and repayment of the loan.

Theresa is applying for this loan to continue expanding her business by buying more stock of used clothes and lappa to sell and increase the business. She considers herself as a hard working business woman. Her dream is to build a house in the near future. She is grateful to BRAC Liberia and Kiva for financial support.
