Simbira Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 16 50-kilogram sacks of beans and pay for transport.

Simbira Group's story

Anne-Marie is the president of the banque communautaire "Simbira" and is a client of the micro-finance institution Hekima. Aged 64, she is married and a mother of nine children, of whom two are still in school.

Her husband, who is a civil servant, gave her initial capital to start selling beans. Then, she received financing from Hekima. With this loan, she is going to buy 16 50-kilogram sacks of beans and pay for transport.

Since she already owns a piece of land on the edge of town, she hopes to earn enough to set up another point of sale in a neighboring town, build a second house to rent out, and to save for the future.

Anne-Marie gives her thanks to Hekima and their partners, who have chosen to support small-scale borrowers.
