Elmira's story

Elmira is 45 years old and married with 2 sonds and a daughter. She has a specialised secondary-level education and works selling grocery products from her own shop. In order to supplement her income Elmira also raises livestock. She has 2 cows and 6 sheep on her farm.

Elmira first rented a shop in 2007, and thanks to her hard work she has now built her own grocer's shop next to her home. She currently has goods in stock worth a total of 219,475 som (KGS). Elmira tries to invest all of the money she makes back into the business.

In order to further expand her business, Elmira has approached Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 200,000 som, which she will use to replenish her stock and increase sales. Elmira will put the profits from the loan towards improving her family's living conditions and provide her younger son with a good education.
