Henry's story

Henry (right) is shown with UGAFODE staff in the photo. He is married and has many children.

Henry is into agriculture. Coffee and maize growing are his main source of income. He is a proud farmer because, apart from earning income, he is transforming lives in his community through providing jobs to the youth.

On harvest, he dries the coffee and maize which he supplies to processing factories with in Mpigi to get income.

With the money he gets, he provides the family with the basic necessities as well as educating his children who are still in school.

In a bid to improve his farming, Henry has applied for a loan from UGAFODE to buy organic fertilisers for his coffee and maize plantation.

He is hopeful that his farm yields will improve which will attract competitive offers for his production, thus bringing in more income. Henry appreciates the funders for the support that will improve his farming and also transform him financially.

His dream is to buy a vehicle which will make transportation of his harvests easy and make it possible for him to earn more.
