Takudzwa's story

Takudzwa is a 19-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her father, mother, and three brothers in the Mudzi District in Zimbabwe. She is requesting a Kiva loan in order to start her own poultry business. Takudzwa plans to use the profit she earns to support herself and her family. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a Camfed Learner Guide. She will be facilitating lessons at her local secondary school through Camfed’s “My Better World” program where she will help students build their self-esteem and motivate them to stay in school.
